Been watching a tutorial DVD course on photographic lighting from The Strobist. This is an example (a poorly executed example) of blacking out the background by moving the flash close in. This is just a quick test at 1AM so I’ll eventually try a legit attempt later.

Plane & Owner.
My new 1983 Cessna Cutlass 172RG.
This thing is a beautiful machine. It climbs like a jet, can carry a ton of weight, moves through the air rather gracefully, and it’s MINE. Kids dream of flying while growing up. Well, not only do I have the ratings and certificates that allow me to do that, now I have the machine to make it even easier. This purchase wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for my Uncle and my parents. So to them I say… Thanks for letting a grown kid’s dream come true.

More fun with the Sigma 10-20mm Wide Angle. Hard to believe, but the camera was only 10 inches from my nose when I took this. I did take one even closer, but the results aren’t very flattering for me.
